Happy Valentine’s Day!
Looking for something (other than eating ALL the candy?) fun to do with your kiddos? Here is a great Valentine’s Day slime craft!
Here’s what you will need:
- 1/2 Cup of Elmer’s Washable PVA Clear Glue or White Glue
- 1/4 Cup of Liquid Starch
- 1/2 Cup of Water
- Red or pink food coloring, glitter, little hearts, anything to make it more fun!
How to Make the Slime:
STEP 1: First, mix ½ cup of water and ½ cup of glue in a bowl. Make sure to mix really well in order to combine completely
STEP 2: If you want to add food coloring or glitter, now is the time! With white glue, the colors will appear lighter. With clear glue, you will have more of a jewel-toned color. Remember, there is no such thing as too much glitter! Let your kiddos have at it and mix in all of the fun add-ins to the slime!
STEP 3: Add 1/4 cup of liquid starch, and the slime will begin to form before your eyes! Stir until all of the liquid is gone and you have a gooey blob.
STEP 4: Next, knead your slime. As you knead, you will notice it change from stringy to more of a slime-like consistency. If you do not feel like kneading, you can set aside the slime for 3 minutes and voila! You have slime!
STEP 5: Enjoy your slime!
