Summer vacation is now over, Shemaiah and Joshua are back in school. They had been looking forward to returning to school. Salvador continues with home schooling and Grace has a few more years of ´grace´.
TEXTBOOKS
The congregation we belong to, will invest this year in 10,000 children. We’ll hire at least 15 full time school chaplains that will teach our materials. The final goal is to get the kids/students into small Bible study groups outside the school. The textbooks open the door to influence their lives with the gospel.
The Ministry of Culture is interested in presenting a project for 10,000 students in five states. If this comes through, it will be a huge step forward. We have presented so many projects in the past, but every time at the last stage of approval, something has happened so that it was cancelled. Please pray that this will be the year of harvest.
Many of you will be part of that harvest because of your prayers and faithful financial support that has enabled us to continue our ministry here in Paraguay. The Lord has been so faithful to us over the last twelve years.
COUNSELING, COURSES AND PREACHING
This year we will continue offering courses. We have started a weekly marriage course in our house; a tremendous way to work in the lives of wounded couples in our home.
Wilfred is also available an afternoon per week for counseling. There are so many needs that the current team in our church isn’t able to cover all the requests.
We will continue this year with preaching in different churches all over Paraguay. Most of our sermons will be focused on family and marriage. Each Sunday morning, in February, we offered a parent seminar in a neighboring city. Approximately 80
parents assisted with these seminars. On the 18th and 19th of March Wilfred will go to the northern part of the country to speak on finances and family.
We want to thank you for what each of you have done for us. God has used you through prayer and financial support. It is a blessing for us to know we are not alone, but covered in prayer by wonderful brothers and sisters. From now on you will receive more updates from Paraguay.
May He bless you all with His unending Love,
Wilfred & Regina Schenk
