For Mission Generation, Chile is the KEY to unlocking the entire western hemisphere for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be taught inside the public schools. Millions of students across Latin America will have the opportunity to come to Jesus. Here are the TOP 3 REASONS we are excited about operating in Chile:
3.5 MILLION Chilean students K-12 who need Jesus.
Chile has been through a very tumultuous period since its return to civilian rule in 1990. Swinging hard left after
seventeen years under Dictator General Pinochet and then right again has left a generation of Chilean children
confused politically and spiritually.
In 2012, every public high school in the country was shut down because of student protests
. 2013 has seen fewer student protests only because of a hard line taken by national police. Chilean students are being politically manipulated at a very high social cost. As a result, gang participation, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, truancy, drop out rates, and juvenile delinquency have all sharply increased in the just the last three years. The country is asking for help.
Chile is AMONG THE TOP EMERGING ECONOMIES IN THE WORLD which makes it one of the economic leaders of Latin America. Its curriculum standards are some of the highest in the Latin World. Its education laws are very similar to the U.S.
Mission Generation’s success in Chile has far-reaching consequences and will place the ministry in a position to
impact the whole of the Western Hemisphere.
Being “Accredited in Chile” brings tremendous favor among other nations and greatly aids the accreditation process in all 20 Latin American countries that are asking for our program.
In Chile, THERE IS A MASSIVE VOID between a new federal law requiring values to be taught in all schools and a curriculum to do so. Mission Generation is in the perfect position to fulfill that law for sake of the Kingdom. Mission Generation’s school program is exactly what the government is requiring for values education. Available funds are standing in schools’ accounts ready to make the purchase! The Senate of Chile has asked us to provide curriculum to at least two million students.
In addition, “religion” is offered in all schools as an elective. Religion teachers, both Catholic and Evangelical Protestants, are being asked to teach morals.
Evangelical religion teachers are requesting our curriculum.
Catholics have the Catechism, but because it was never designed as a school curriculum, it is not successfully impacting the students. Catholic institutions want to include our program with their traditional material.
