Thank you, Pastor Michael, for these Myanmar updates. Our prayers are with you, your family, and your work there. Pastor says his family is doing well with 2 of his children starting primary school this month.
Here are a few things Michael shared:
Mrs Awm Yawng – Michael shared: There was an older woman who visited her birthplace of Kanpelet Town. She sat right beside me, and we didn’t talk for awhile. I started talking to her about life after death . I also asked her if she had heard of the name Christian. She said yes she had, but also shared about participating in Buddhism since her childhood that still left her with questions. I asked her if she would like to hear about her soul being with God, who created all things in this world. She said she would so she listened to me carefully about the Redemption of Jesus. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and Lord. Her fact became bright and full of joy and happiness.
Youth Picnic – Michael shared how he was not only concerned with non-believers , but also the youth who were believers but whose actions were not showing their belief in Christ. He prayed for wisdom as to how to reach them. He held a picnic where he shared the Gospel of Jesus with 42 students. Two made the decision to follow Christ. Pastor Michael also shared the consequences of alcohol and other sin to those students.
My Best Me- Pastor Michael taught Book 1 for two weeks and two days during his 40 day Gospel trip at a primary school in Imnu Village. This was during their summer holidays and the hottest season. The first week, 36 students attended, the second week, 23. The children enjoyed learning. Children from other villages were not reached because they were working in the fields.
