Testimony of a School Counselor!

By: Lexie Dare

Here is a testimony that we were able to translate from Spanish to English of Yessica, a young woman sharing the gospel overseas.

My name is Yessica Guasase Vera with C.I. 12918085 S.C. I am 20 years old. I am a chaplain at the Julio Aurelio Gutiérrez “A” school with my partner Esther Mendoza Poma. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we spend our time sharing what we have learned and our experiences. We teach them how wonderful it is to know Christ in this age and the privilege we have to be called children of God.
Being able to share the Gospel in schools is new for us, we always used to go out to the park or to the markets to preach. Schools have other kinds of people, not like in the parks or the market. At school we can meet the students every day, and it is much better, since we can disguise them.
When I heard about SCHOOL COUNSELING I was very interested because it was about evangelism at school. I said: “I have to be there!” The first day when we were presented as chaplains at school the director and his secretary presented us in front of the teachers and students. We are very happy to be part of this, and it is the blessing of the Cross.
