We love hearing personal stories about how our “My Best Me” textbooks are impacting students in the United States and abroad. We recently received notice that a student in San Diego is greatly benefitting from the “My Best Me” curriculum. For confidentiality, we will call this student “Jim.” Jim is a student with special needs. None of the Christian schools in California had the resources to admit a child with special needs into their program. While this was discouraging at first, Jim’s public school teacher stated:
“I am planning to integrate “My Best Me” into Jim’s functional life skills curriculum. Some lessons are aligned to his goals and if so I will pull ‘My Best Me’ for that. I will try and implement a little each day for Jim.”
Though Jim could not find a Christian school to attend, we are rejoicing that he will still be exposed to truth through the “My Best Me” curriculum in the public school he attends. It is so encouraging to see the mission of Mission Generation being carried out in a big way in the public school system. We cannot wait to see the provision the Lord has in store!
