Dreaming at School

The Mission Generation textbook has taught me to be respectful of others and their time, to be more kind, to appreciate everything around me, and to love God and others like I love myself.

Currently at school I am learning to appreciate my parents and their efforts to support our family so we can live in better conditions. I never really realized how hard my parents work to provide for my siblings and me until my teacher was explaining to us what a normal day at work would look like and how much taxes, groceries, electricity, water and schooling costs.

It’s had a huge impact on me talking about responsibility; I know my job for now is to pay attention to my homework and apply myself to the best of my abilities. One day soon it will be responsibility to provide for myself by going work and in the future be able to care for my own family. I am thankful for this season of learning and not having to go to work. It gives me the freedom and time to dream about who I want to become and what I want my life to look like. I now have a list of 10 big goals I want to achieve before I turn twenty.
