Such a Beautiful Place

“It’s been an amazing experiencee being on this mission trip. We’ve seen so many different people and been to so many different places. We’ve seen humble churches and humble homes, people who build their homes out of trees and scrap metal, to people wearing Yeezy’s and light up shoes in the city. We got to be instruments of God’s love. God used our not so happy experiences that led us to Him to help show others how incredible He is. I know that God has a plan for each and every one of the kids we spoke to and I know He greatly loves and protects them.

One of the cool things I got to experience personally was when we went to one of the poorer schools and handed out shoes for everyone. Watching the kids’ faces light up when they found the perfect shoes in their size was awesome and made me super happy. One kid was crying because he couldn’t find any in his size. We brought him inside and found a pair and he stopped crying and hugged us all. It’s also really cool to get to know them with the “If You’re Like Me” game. I personally had a lot of fun when they were trying to guess how old we were.  I got a range from 15 to 26. It was also pretty hilarious when they start yelling when you started talking about soccer.

This country is such a beautiful place, from the people, to the places, to the language, to the clothes and jewelry. I’m so glad I got to come here and have this experience with everyone.”
