The Mission Generation prayer team is composed of about 150 people that have expressed a desire to pray over all the different aspects of the Mission Generation Ministry as needed. This includes each country involved; Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Guatemala, Panama, Ecuador, and the USA. They pray for the leaders and workers in each country. They pray for their families, their efforts in the ministry, their financial resources and spiritual wisdom and protection.
A small team meets monthly, for about one hour, in Rancho Bernardo, California. Members review and pray over all the praises and prayer requests that have been submitted by the major leaders in each country, as well as those shared by Rocky, Joske, and the US Development Office. Most of the prayer requests are related to the ministry. However, they do pray for individuals and their families too, some confidentially, but most are open prayer requests. After the reports are reviewed by country, each member is led by the Holy Spirit to voice their prayers and praises out loud to the Lord and to the group. They proceed praying until all the countries and entries have been lifted up and covered in prayer.
After the meeting, the Director of Prayer, Linda Colby, sends a summative e-mail report of the prayers prayed at the small group meeting to all the supporters who have expressed a desire to be on the Prayer Team. Prayer Team members often respond and send prayers or comments, or ask for prayers for themselves or families. These are shared with Rocky, Joske, or the small Rancho Bernardo prayer group, as is appropriate.
Presently, more Prayer Team Members are needed in the small group and for the e-mail support group. The ministry has grown from one country to seven countries over the last 5 years, since they began. Also, recently they have lost several important
members because of illness, or having to return to work.
Please consider serving in this way. The prayer team meets one Monday a month at 4:30 pm.
