On November 10th Mission Generation celebrated the launching of their school program into the United States. Chris Brewster, a champion in the world of education, the superintendent at Santa Fe South Elementary in Oklahoma City, will engage in implementing the program, helping Mission Generation scale statewide and eventually aim at going nationwide.
For many years’ people have been saying, “There is no way God will get back into the American schools.” Superintendent Chris a God-fearing man with a faith filled staff is ready to make it happen. He has gained the trust and support of the student’s parents, creating a perfect scenario. Chris and his staff will provide vital feedback and edits to the textbooks and teacher’s materials in preparation of a wider scale application for the fall of 2017.
The vision is to give students and the adults in their lives the tools they need to make quality life decisions based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, permitting them to be led by the Holy Spirit which will help them to succeed in spirit, soul, and body.
Mission Generation provides resources to address social and personal issues impacting young people today with basic undeniable truths. The program includes a set of 12 student workbooks that are age and grade appropriate from 1st to 12th grade. The pilot will run with the 1st, 6th and 12th grade books, designed to be used during one school year. The texts are contextualized taking in consideration the social, geographical, flora and fauna, legal and language situations of each country.
The privilege of bringing Jesus to schools could not have come at a more opportune time.
This is the same type program booklet that you sent me a sample of years ago which was favorably accepted in Venezuela years ago and Bolivia? This would be wonderful to have over here in U.S. schools. A volunteer from each churchto youth to teach the course and one or two adult mentor? Woyld this be an afternoon social group?I nevet quite understand how it was being taught. Please explain
Thank you for your response. Yes, the program is currently operating in Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Guatemala and Panama. The program functions in such a manner that the teachers teach the lessons during school hours as a school subject. Mission Generation trains the teacher how to use the textbooks that have been adapted to each grade level. The curriculum is Bible based life skills textbooks that invite students to think and contemplate on the daily issues they are faced with framed by basic undeniable truths. MG purpose is to nudge students, teachers and parents to understand the Gospel and at the same time give them the tools they need to experience success in all areas of life.
We appreciate your interest and continued prayers for the ministry. Be blessed.
Wonderful new for America🙏🙏🙏
May this also be for the Netherlands. There are many schools over here where Jesus has left.
For more and more the Christian schools become public schools with little room for Jesus Christ. Be blessed in the good work God is doing! Amen!
