Easter Island commissioned a panel to review all Social Emotional Learning and related material. The result ~ The island’s education authority has contracted us to provide Biblical world view Social Emotional Learning to all of their PK-12th graders… as well as enroll their teachers in our chaplain program. Our first training/presentation session was a month ago.
They said that our program uniquely addressed the challenges of island life.* This is exciting news on several fronts… Easter Island is a protectorate of Chile so the chaplain program and textbooks are accredited. Easter Island is also autonomous in many regards. The combination of an island nation and Chilean accreditation could open us up to the entire Pacific and Caribbean once the texts and the chaplain program are available in English.
Having every PK-12th grader on the island in the program will also give us an unprecedented opportunity to collect data proving the power of God and faith in school! New creation realities taught in school along with chaplains services will have a huge impact on education outcomes based on impact on the continent.
As strange as it might sound, island reality and inner city life have a great deal in common. Data collected from Easter Island could give us a tremendous edge marketing our program and services to inner city schools in the U.S.
