My mom’s favorite color is _________________

It’s simple to create fun questions that can be filled out an answered!
This craft really is simple. You can cut the pages into fourths, halves, or leave them pick. On the paper, either write out the questions, or print them out and cut them and allow your child to glue them onto the construction paper. Have your kiddos decorate the pages however they want to show mom their true creative side.
After the questions have been answered and the glue is dry, place the papers on top of one another and staple the booklet together.
Another fun add on to this craft would be to add a section of “My favorite things about mom” here are some examples:
My favorite meal that mom makes is_____________
I love it when mom spends time with me by doing ________________
I love to do _______________ with mom.
Allow your kids to write lists of all of their favorite things to do with mom, too. This is sure to make mom smile! This can also be a fun activity for all of the women in your life, you can easily change mom to grandma and make multiple copies!
Popsicle stick chore bucket
Moms (and dads) work so hard to provide well for their families and also keep their homes safe and clean. For kids that are a little bit older, this chore bucket craft is a great gift to mom for Mother’s Day!
What you will need:
Blank/Clean popsicle sticks
Marker
Mason jar/glass/bucket, any type of holder
List of chores
What to do:
It’s simple! Make a list of chores that your mom does around the house often or asks for help on.
On each popsicle stick, use your marker to write a chore out. You can write each chose to write each chore one time, or if you are feeling generous you can write multiple sticks with the same chore.
On Mother’s Day, give your mom the jar and let her know that when she is feeling overwhelmed or needs help, she can draw a stick from the jar and you will help. You can tell her to throw away the sticks for a single use, or be put back in so that you can help over and over again! While this may not be a child’s favorite gift, it will definitely help mom and dad out!
Custom Clay Flower Pots
Have some empty clay pots needing some decoration? Wanting some bright colors to spruce up your porch or window sill? This craft is perfect for you!
What you will need:
Clay plant pots (Walmart sells these for very cheap, as does Amazon!)
Paint
Paint brushes
Paper plates (or something to pour paint on)
Trash bags or plastic (to set pots on to paint and dry)
Pretty plants, flowers, or seeds to grow in plant pot
Potting soil
What to do:
This craft is pretty simple and open ended, once you have set up a safe area that is easy to clean up, let the kids use their own creative minds to design flower pots for mom.
Adding in the flowers or seeds can be a fun way to also add in a lesson about responsibility for your children. Reminding them to water them and watch their growth can be a fun and daily activity that continues after Mother’s Day.
Custom Painted Apron
Does your mom love to cook? Does she have a special apron she loves to wear when she bakes? This craft is a fun way to make your mom something she can use all year long!
What you will need:
Plain apron (Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Amazon all have these!)
Fabric paint
Paint brushes
Fabric markers
Plastic or something to protect surfaces under the paint
Paper plate to pour paint on to
What to do:
Just like the clay pots, this is another craft where you can sit back and let your child’s imagination run wild. After setting up the apron with plastic underneath, allow the children to paint and draw on the apron however they choose. Maybe some flowers, or maybe a picture of mom’s favorite food? It is so fun to see each child’s creativity shine as they paint their hearts out!
