The CEO and founder Mission Generation, Rocky Malloy and his wife Joske are moving back to the US after 27 years of living in South and Central America fulfilling the vision to change Nations. Rocky and Joske Malloy will be relocating to Houston, Texas this month to devote their time of bringing Jesus back to the American public schools.
Rocky and Joske will also be working closely with Rice University on a program for parents to help them better understand the value of developing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills in their children from the moment they are born.
SEL is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Some researchers now suggest that a child’s success in school and in life is determined by SEL skills, more than IQ which makes moving to America so important. This is a hectic time with much change and many exciting things awaiting them in the near future!
