Father\u2019s Day is coming soon, and you don\u2019t have to spend a lot of money to show your Dad how much you love and appreciate him. \u00a0Here are a few ideas: <\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your Dad about his childhood<\/b>. \u00a0Dad\u2019s young and old like to reminisce about their childhood. \u00a0You can ask about what he did with friends; ask about a day at school\u2014did he ever have something embarrassing happen or get in trouble? \u00a0You will likely learn something new, and your Dad will not only love that you\u2019re interested, but also enjoy the trip down memory lane.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Thank your Dad for his guidance<\/b>. \u00a0Tell him specifics\u2014what lesson has meant the most to you and why. \u00a0Let him know that you\u2019re proud to be his Son\/Daughter. Dads across the board want to be respected and honored.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Cook for him<\/b>\u2014Have him over for dinner, bring dinner to him, make his favorite dessert and surprise him. \u00a0Who doesn\u2019t enjoy a food surprise\u2014especially made by you!<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Play a game with him<\/b>. \u00a0Lots of laughs come when you\u2019re playing a game together. \u00a0Consider a card game, board game or a simple outdoor game of catch.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Make a handmade card with something personal inside<\/b>. \u00a0You don\u2019t have to be in elementary school to make a handmade card. Imagine your Dad\u2019s sentiment as he receives the card made from his child\u2014no matter the age. \u00a0\u00a0It shows him you took the extra time to appreciate him.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Don\u2019t let this special day go by without showing your love and appreciation. \u00a0With so many of us blessed to have our Dads around to show our gratitude, there are many others who have only memories to hold onto. \u00a0If this is you, think of something you remember about your Dad, and honor his legacy. If your Dad was a giver, find a charity and give an amount in honor and memory of him. \u00a0Think of anything that made him laugh or made him proud–go do that with a smile on your face and love in your heart.<\/span><\/p>\n
