The Resurrection Tree is a similar concept, except it\u2019s for Easter!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, have your kids gather a bunch of branches with a few leaves on them and place them in a vase with water. Parents look up a corresponding Bible verse about the word and talk to their kids about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each day kids hang a small card (with a special word about Easter) on the tree. Why not use this traditional Easter game as a fun Easter activity for kids that shares about Jesus\u2019 Resurrection?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Young Kids: Print or draw pictures of pieces of the Easter story. The pictures could be of a donkey, wine and bread, praying hands, a garden, a sword, a cross, a crown of thorns, silver coins, a rooster, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019ve printed or drawn the pictures cut them small enough to fit into Easter eggs than insert them into some of the eggs. After the scavenger hunt is over, ask the kids to look through their eggs. Start with the first item that makes up the story. For example, \u201cWho has the donkey?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The child that found the donkey raises their hand you can follow with asking if they know what part the item played in the Easter story. And they taste SO GOOD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>You\u2019ll need:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 bag of large marshmallows<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 can of refrigerated biscuits, rolled out flat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 stick of melted butter, poured into a shallow bowl<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup of granulated sugar or coconut sugar and cinnamon (poured into a shallow bowl)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b> Instructions:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dip a marshmallow (representing Jesus\u2019 body) in the butter and then roll it the sugar and cinnamon mixture (like when Jesus\u2019 body was anointed with oil and spices during his burial).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wrap the flattened-out refrigerated biscuits around the marshmallow and place it on a cookie sheet to bake (cook it according to the package directions on the biscuits).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And then the magic comes! When each child bites into the biscuit, they realize that it\u2019s hollow! The marshmallow has melted away and the biscuit is left looking like an empty tomb. The message: Jesus\u2019 body isn\u2019t here anymore because it\u2019s been resurrected! He is alive!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly, Live Out Your Easter Joy in Front of Your Kids<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cActions speak louder than words\u201d may seem so cliche, but it is a cliche because of how true it is! Showing our children our excitement behind Easter will show them that they can be excited about Christ\u2019s death and resurrection, too! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you express excitement and joy about Easter? What is your favorite part about Easter? What are you most grateful for during this season?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Share honestly with your kids about God during this time. Let them see what it means to trust God with one\u2019s whole heart and to let Jesus bring healing and hope to every situation. They\u2019re listening and watching!
